Our Facilities

• Swimming pool - 25m 4-lane swimming pool.  The pool incorporates a shallow area designed for adult learners, but is also ideal for young children and child learners. A wide range of activities are available in the pool including parent and toddler sessions, swimming courses and aqua aerobics.
• Learner pool - 5m in length and has a depth ranging from 0.4 to 0.8m. The perfect place for under 5’s to learn to swim or for your child’s birthday party.
• Dedicated disability changing room –  Height adjustable changing table and accessible shower for people with complex mobility problems.
• Third Generation Artificial Turf Pitch (ATP) –Two 3G flood lit pitches. The 3G sports pitch plays exactly like a natural sports grass surface. Our 3G football pitches are Ideal for any 5 a side leagues or junior 7 a side football.
• Fitness suite - Extensive equipment in a purpose built, state of the art, air conditioned fitness suite that is home to over fifty stations that have multiple applications, there is also a well-equipped free weights area and functional training zone.
• Health suite - Following your workout, why not unwind in our relaxing Lifestyle health suite equipped with a sauna and steam room.
• Squash courts  – 2 professional standard squash courts, regarded locally as the best in the area. Both have wooden floors that are regularly maintained to ensure high standards. The courts are home to centre run casual squash leagues (open to all), and the Risca Squash Club that play in the local leagues. Available to book at 45 minute intervals.
• Sports hall - An indoor, multi purpose area with professional sports flooring. The hall has many applications, including five-a-side football, short tennis, badminton and fitness classes. For badminton, the hall can be divided into six courts that are available for booking.  The sports hall is also available for special events such as concerts, dances, exhibitions, dinners and conferences. It is licensed to accommodate up to 900 people.
• Dance studio - A fully sprung, wooden floored gymnasium that is used for a range of activities including gymnastics, fitness classes, relaxation classes and circuit groups. The room is also first choice for a range of martial arts groups and clubs that find it ideal for their needs. The room contains various equipment and can be set up to include substantial crash and floor matting. Also available for private hire.
• Machen Suite – Suitable as a venue for meetings, seminars, training days and presentations. It can also be used for a range of fitness classes, it is also suitable for children’s parties.
• Changing Facilities – Ground Floor – Separate Male & Female changing rooms.  Designated disabled changing room with changing table and hoist. Health Suite changing individual cubicles.  Changing Facilities First Floor: Individual changing cubicles.
• Free car parking– The centre has two (free to centre users) car parks and an ‘overflow’ car parking facility for your convenience including dedicated disability parking.
